Leeds Cookery School is in The Old Fire Station building which is conveniently located just off the A64 York Road – a main arterial route into Leeds.

From Leeds City Centre, on the A64, go straight on through the major traffic lights at the junction with Harehills Lane (under a footbridge), keeping to the inside lane. You will pass a large care home on your left, and an Auto Money business. Take the next left onto Gipton Approach and the Old Fire Station is almost immediately on the left hand side.

Coming towards Leeds on the A64, after passing Asda on your right, stay in the right hand lane as you go straight on through the major traffic lights at the junction with Selby Road. At the next major junction, turn right onto Gipton Approach and the Old Fire Station is almost immediately on the left hand side.

The Old Fire Station has plenty of on-site free parking including three electric vehicle charging points powered by renewable energy. Once parked please proceed to the main entrance and if reception is closed press the buzzer named Zest/Leeds Cookery School. Once in the building the cookery school is on your right and fully signed.

We are a short 10-minute taxi ride from Leeds station.

Bus
There are number of excellent bus services in Leeds. The Old Fire Station is located on Gipton Approach, just off York Road (A64). The following First Leeds bus services stop on York Road: 5, 11, 19, 56, 49 and 64.

By Car from the M1 Motorway:

1. Exit the M1 at Junction 43: Merge onto the M621 towards Leeds City Centre.
2. Take Junction 3 off the M621: Follow signs for Central Leeds.
3. Merge onto the A653 (Dewsbury Road): Continue straight towards the city centre.
4. At the junction with the A61: Turn right onto the A61 (Hunslet Road).
5. Continue on the A61: Follow signs for the city centre, passing landmarks like the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
6. Turn left onto York Street: Look for signs directing you to Kirkgate Market.
7. Turn right onto New York Street: The market's multi-storey car park (NCP New York Street) will be on your left.

To reach the cookery school from the George Street entrance of Kirkgate Market:

Enter Kirkgate Market through the George Street entrance.

Proceed straight ahead into the market hall.

Navigate to Row 5, which is where Leeds Cookery School is located.

By Foot from Leeds Train Station:

1. Exit the station onto New Station Street: This is the main exit leading towards the city centre.
2. Turn right onto Boar Lane: Walk eastward towards Briggate.
3. Turn left onto Briggate: This is a pedestrianised shopping street.
4. Continue straight to Kirkgate: Walk until you reach Kirkgate.
5. Turn right onto Kirkgate: Proceed eastward.
6. Arrive at Kirkgate Market: The market will be on your left, with the George Street entrance providing access to Leeds Cookery School.
