If you aspire to be a culinary all-rounder then our 6-week Cookery Skills Course is for you! This course is designed for novice cooks looking to develop a wide range of cookery techniques*. You will leave the course with a repertoire of skills and recipes to carry on making at home.
THE COURSE WILL CONSIST OF 6x 2.5-HOUR SESSIONS HELD AT THE SAME TIME EACH WEEK FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE WEEKS.
What you will learn:
Week 1 - KNIFE SKILLS AND STIR-FRYING
- We start nice and easy mastering some simple but effective knife skills
Week 2 - Northern Indian Cooking
- Make a selection Northern Indian classics
Week 3 - The Fish Class
- In this session we will break down a whole fish and transform it into an amazing dish
Week 4 - The Pasta Class
- This week we focus on making pasta from scratch and creating a delectable flat pasta dish
Week 5 - The Chicken Class
- Breaking down a whole chicken is the focus here. With each part of the chicken we will create 4 fantastic dishes, making the most of every part of this great bird
Week 6 - The Patisserie Class
- End this journey on a sweet note. Tarte tatin and creme anglaise make an appearnac ein the final week of the 6 week course
Full recipes including ingredients and method are provided for you to take home to add to your repertoire.

What you will take away from the experience
At Leeds cookery school we aim for our guests to take home a combination of newfound skills, knowledge, and a memorable experience that enriches their culinary curiosities and encourages them to explore & enjoy food in new and exciting ways.
At the end of our workshops we encourage our guests to relax and enjoy tasting the fruits of their labour and share the experience with their fellow participants.
Please note:
- You do not need to bring any other equipment or ingredients with you as this will be provided by the cookery school and is included in the cost.
- Please make sure to inform us of any allergies when booking on to the workshop
- We use induction hobs at the cookery school so if you have a pacemaker fitted, please get in contact with us when you have booked to let us know so we can adapt our equipment to meet your needs.
- Refreshments are provided throughout the session.

Your Host
This course will be taught by one of our three resident chefs. Where possible, we aim to ensure you are taught by the same chef tutor for the duration your course.
