Top 10 Summer Holiday Activities in Leeds

Summer holidays are the perfect time to explore and have fun with your family! Leeds offers a variety of activities that will keep the kids entertained, from pizza-making to hip-hop dancing. Here's our ultimate guide to what's on in Leeds this summer holiday:

DIY Pizza Party

Leeds Cookery School is hosting a free pizza making workshop this August, perfect for your mini chefs! Parents and kids are invited to come down and make their own veggie pizza in our woodfired pizza oven. Learn how to stretch dough, sauce your pizza, pick your veggies and then watch it get cooked in their woodfire oven!

Plus, they'll have the tunes playing, cold pop in the fridge and a licensed bar for the parents!

This is a drop in event and the kitchen is open from 12pm-3pm. Book your free space for some pizza-making fun.

Pick Your Own

Head to Kemps Farm in Horsforth for a family day of fruit-picking. It's a family run farm where little ones can run around in the fresh air and learn where their food comes from.

Kids can come and pick their own juicy strawberries, raspberries and even wild flowers. Just try to resist the temptation of eating any before the end!

Kemps Farm is open for fruit picking from late July to early September. Tickets must be booked in advance.

Summer of Fun at Kirkgate

The event space at Kirkgate Market is going to be bustling with activities for the kids this summer! And even better, it's all completely free.

Every week on Tuesdays through to Sunday, you can find anything from hip-hop dancing to bumper cars and even circus skills.

Visit Summer of Fun at Kirkgate Market from 30th July to 30th August.

Meanwood Valley Urban Farm

Love animals? Then you'll love a day on the farm, with alpacas, donkeys, rabbits, goats, ducks and many more, there's loads for the kids to explore.

As well as the farm, you can explore woodland, meadows and three ponds. And don't forget a cheeky ice cream on the way round!
