DIY Pizza Party
Leeds Cookery School is hosting a free pizza making workshop this August, perfect for your mini chefs! Parents and kids are invited to come down and make their own veggie pizza in our woodfired pizza oven. Learn how to stretch dough, sauce your pizza, pick your veggies and then watch it get cooked in their woodfire oven!
Plus, they'll have the tunes playing, cold pop in the fridge and a licensed bar for the parents!
This is a drop in event and the kitchen is open from 12pm-3pm. Book your free space for some pizza-making fun.
Pick Your Own
Head to Kemps Farm in Horsforth for a family day of fruit-picking. It's a family run farm where little ones can run around in the fresh air and learn where their food comes from.
Kids can come and pick their own juicy strawberries, raspberries and even wild flowers. Just try to resist the temptation of eating any before the end!
Kemps Farm is open for fruit picking from late July to early September. Tickets must be booked in advance.
Summer of Fun at Kirkgate
The event space at Kirkgate Market is going to be bustling with activities for the kids this summer! And even better, it's all completely free.
Every week on Tuesdays through to Sunday, you can find anything from hip-hop dancing to bumper cars and even circus skills.

Meanwood Valley Urban Farm
Love animals? Then you'll love a day on the farm, with alpacas, donkeys, rabbits, goats, ducks and many more, there's loads for the kids to explore.
As well as the farm, you can explore woodland, meadows and three ponds. And don't forget a cheeky ice cream on the way round!

Baking Together
Get the family together for a morning of baking! From cinnamon swirls to Chelsea buns, little hands will love getting stuck in and messy.
It's a hands on and fun experience where you get to eat your creations!
The class is on the 23rd August and runs from 10am-12:30pm.
Fun in the Sun
This summer, Breeze in the Park will have over 25 interactive play days for children and teenagers taking place in various parks and green spaces over the next five weeks.
Each day’s attendees will be able to enjoy a jam-packed array of activities, featuring everything from sports and games to art and music – and, of course, Breeze’s famous giant inflatables.
Breeze in the Park runs from Wednesday 24th July to Thursday 22nd August 2024. Tickets must be booked in advance.
Strolls in the Ruins
A must in everyone's diary is exploring the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey. They often host family-friendly events, workshops and outdoor performances during the Summer.
Why don't you try their Urban Nature Trail? It's free for Leeds residents and you can spot birds, bats and bees hidden all over the abbey.

One of the largest city parks in Europe, Roundhay Park is perfect for a family picnic. With vast open spaces, two lakes, playgrounds and a land train, there's plenty to explore.
