It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The festive season is upon us and we're ready to celebrate. Looking to get your Christmas plans in the bag? Look no further, we've rounded up the perfect list of festivities to get you rockin' around the Christmas tree!
Christmas at Kirkgate
The biggest indoor market in Europe, Kirkgate Market, is celebrating this season with a specially curated Christmas Market for all your gifting needs! Plus, why not treat yourself to a festive Yorkshire Pudding Wrap from The Yorkshire Wrap Company whilst you're there?

Wishing for Wellingtons
Leeds Cookery School are celebrating the holiday season with an array of delicious festive workshops! Join them for a festive culinary journey in a Yuletide Beef Wellington Masterclass. This hands-on class will guide you through the steps to create a show-stopping Beef Wellington, perfect for your Christmas dinner. Learn the secrets to achieving the perfect medium-rare beef fillet, wrapped in a luxurious mushroom duxelles, and encased in golden, flaky puff pastry.
Festive Flavours: Beef Wellington Edition is running at Leeds Cookery School on 7th & 21st December 2024.
Farsley Lantern Parade
This Christmas lights switch on is a switch on with a difference - they've been working with local schools, businesses and community groups to light up the streets of Farsley with a lantern parade!
Expect to see the likes of giant swans, foxes, hedgehogs & insects; all made out of willow, magically lit from within and marched through the streets this winter as a joyous celebration Farsley’s community spirit & local wildlife.
Plus, on the night they will also be raising money and donations for the Food Bank at Pudsey Community Project.

Trees That Give Back
St Gemma's Hospice are back with their famous Christmas Tree sale! 100% of the profits made from sales go towards patient care – plus, their volunteers will be on hand to make sure you find your perfect tree! They even offer a ‘Treecycling’ service, where they sustainably take care of your post-Christmas clear up for a small donation.
St Gemma's Hospice has multiple time slots for picking the perfect tree, starting on the 5th December.
Festive Bread Making
Get into the festive mood with this baking class! You'll learn to craft a variety of seasonal breads that are perfect for any celebration. Discover essential techniques for mixing, kneading, and baking, while exploring the rich flavours and textures that make these breads perfect for sharing with family and friends. From Panettone to oozy Camembert tear & share, this class isn’t one to miss!

Wreaths With a Difference
Help to support Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm and take part in their festive wreath making workshop. They'll guide you through the art of creating stunning Christmas wreaths, and what’s more, all proceeds from ticket sales help to support the wonderful work of Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm!
Lineham Farm is running their Wreath Workshop on the 14th December 2024.
Kindness at Christmas
Our partner charity, Zest are inviting you to join them in spreading joy and hope to those who need it most this Christmas, with their annual Christmas Raffle. With every ticket, you’re not only getting the chance to win wonderful prizes but also making a real difference in the lives of those we support.
There's plenty to win, from top restaurant vouchers to a boiler service, not to mention a cooking class voucher from our very own Cookery School! All funds raised will go towards helping disadvantaged communities in Leeds live happier and healthier lives.
