Meet the full Leeds Cookery School and Zest team! Here we are, freezing but still jolly on our team away day at Hazelwood Castle.
If you didn't know already Leeds Cookery School is a social enterprise. We were set up in 2018 and all of our profits go back to a local Leeds charity called Zest whose aim is to make Leeds a place where everyone has the same opportunities.
1 in 5 people in Leeds live in a deprived area. Being born in deprived areas limits life chances and life expectancy of those living in deprived communities can be up to 10 years less than those from more affluent areas. Through activities like social groups, craft sessions, cookery skills courses at the Ministry of Food, exercise classes, parent groups and more they support people to learn new skills and improve their life chances. Ensuring that Leeds becomes a better place for everyone.
